Kirby’s adventures always have a collection of fun and memorable bosses. Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe is no exception, with the Deluxe version bringing brand-new bosses for the Magalor epilogue mode. From a tree with a face to an interdimensional deity, here is my ranking of the top 10 bosses in Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe.
10. Whispy Woods

You can’t have a Kirby game without the iconic tree. The first boss in the original Kirby’s Dreamland is also the first boss in Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe. He’s an iconic character that sets the stage for the battles to come.
9. Goriath

This snowy mountain beast feels like a tribute to Dragon Ball Z. Fighting Goriath is all about speed and dodging his energy blasts. His wall-jumping antics and aggressive physical strikes make this one of the most high-energy fights in the mid-game.
8. Rampaging Doomers

One of the new bosses introduced in the Magolor Epilogue, these variants of the Sphere Doomers are terrifying. They test your mastery of Magolor’s unique kit. They are also fought by Kirby in the True Arena. It’s fun using copy abilities that can hit multiple doomers at once.
7. Landia

The four-headed dragon guardian of Halcandra is a climactic fight. It’s the boss of the final area of the game, and the first of a chain of end game bosses. The fight evolves, starting as a single threat before splitting into four separate dragons that coordinate their attacks.
6. Grand Doomer

The final obstacle of the main hunt for the Lor Starcutter ship parts, the Grand Doomer is an imposing threat. It’s an evolution of the mid-boss Doomers that have been fought across Kirby’s journey thus far. Using the Ultra-Sword to slay the beast is an empowering moment.
5. Master Crown

The final boss of the Magolor Epilogue, this fight is haunting. It has a variety of attacks that are all visually stunning. It represents the corruptive power of the crown itself, providing a perfect end for Magolor’s redemption arc.
4. Galacta Knight

Move over Morpho Knight, for the original secret knight boss. Galacta Knight returns from Kirby Super Star Ultra to make his appearance in the True Arena, and he doesn’t disappoint. His attacks are powerful, his speed is terrifying, and the remixed theme music makes your heart race.
3. Metal General

There is something incredibly satisfying about fighting a robot. Metal General’s movement is rigid and calculated, using drones and lasers to corner Kirby.
2. HR-D3

If you loved Metal General, HR-D3 is the ultimate payoff. This massive, King Dedede-inspired mech is a multi-phase titan. It’s one of the largest bosses in the game, and dodging its giant mechanical fists while the floor crumbles beneath you is pure adrenaline.
1. Magolor Soul

The undisputed king of this list and final boss of the main game! After the betrayal, the fight against Magolor’s dark and corrupted final form is incredible. The music is some of the best in the Kirby series and that’s saying something. Magalor’s soul mimics the super copy-abilities that Kirby has used during the adventure, which is an incredibly cool concept. In Deluxe, two new attacks were added for the two new copy-abilities sand and mecha. It’s the perfect final boss for the game!
