My Top 10 Galaxies in Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy is an incredible game and is one of my favorites. One of the big appeals of this 3D Mario adventure is the numerous galaxies that can be explored. Out of the 42 galaxies, here is a countdown of my top 10.

10. Bowser’s Galaxy Reactor

The final galaxy of the game’s story, it puts everything player’s have learned to the test. The sheer scale, the awesome music, and the challenging platforming create a climactic experience. The final battle with Bowser is an epic showdown.

9. Beach Bowl Galaxy

A tropical vibe sets this galaxy apart. Exploring underwater and using the Ice Flower power-up to platform up waterfalls were fun challenges.

8. Toy Time Galaxy

This whimsical galaxy is full of giant toys. The creative level-design and environment make it a standout.

7. Freezeflame Galaxy

The contrast between fire and ice makes this galaxy a classic. Some challenges will involve navigating the icy side of the galaxy and others will involve the lava side, but the best challenges are when both collide.

6. Battlerock Galaxy

This galaxy’s space station setting makes it a thrilling ride. It is full of enemies and gravity challenges.

5. Buoy Base Galaxy

Navigating up the base is an engaging experience. The shifting platforms and the underwater sections are a fun challenge.

4. Gusty Garden Galaxy

This galaxy might be the most beautiful. It is thrilling to soar through wind between green vibrant planets and the music is some of the best in the Mario series.

3. Good Egg Galaxy

The first galaxy, and still one of the best. The well designed planets, the great music make it a memorable experience.

2. Ghostly Galaxy

The spooky atmosphere, the clever puzzles, and the unique Boo-Mario transformation challenges make this galaxy a favorite.

1. Melty Molten Galaxy

One of the final galaxies in the game, it is full of challenging lava sections. Fiery Dino Piranha, a powered-up version of the first boss of the game was a great fight and a full-circle moment.
