A Nostalgic Return
It’s been a while since we’ve seen the charismatic raccoon thief, Sly Cooper, and his quirky crew. The last installment, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, was a journey through history that ended on a cliffhanger. We last saw Sly trapped in ancient Egypt, seemingly with no way to return to the present. Here are my ideas for what the next installment in the Sly Cooper series could be.
A New Adventure in the Land of the Pharaohs
The game would start with Sly exploring ancient Egypt. Stranded in a land of pyramids, hieroglyphics, and deadly traps, Sly must navigate the treacherous terrain and fight an ancient villain.
Rescuing Sly
While Sly is lost in the past, his loyal friends, Bentley, Murray, the rest of the Cooper Gang, as well as Carmelita, would unite to rescue him. Bentley would complete a time machine, but only with the help of Penelope, a former Cooper Gang member who turned villain in Sly 4. They would all travel back in time to rescue Sly.
A Returning Threat
After Sly and his friends reunite, things go wrong. Clockwerk, the villain of the original Sly Cooper game and nemesis of the Cooper family for centuries would attack. Clockwerk would learn of the time machine and chase the gang through past, present, and future.
A Cast of Playable Characters
Like previous games in the series, the sequel would have a variety of playable characters, each with unique abilities:
- Sly Cooper: The master thief, skilled in stealth, agility, and thievery.
- Bentley: The brains, using gadgets and hacking skills to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles.
- Murray: The muscle, a brute force character capable of smashing through walls and overpowering enemies.
- Carmelita Fox: An Interpol agent and Sly’s love interest. She can use stealth and combat to take down criminals.
- Dimitri: A marine iguana and a skilled artist.
- The Guru: A wise old koala, offering guidance and mystical abilities.
- The Grizz: An egotistical and goofy bear. He was a villain in Sly 4, but would get some redemption in the sequel.
More Ideas
- Penelope’s Redemption: Penelope would initially be an antagonist, but would be redeemed.
- Prison Break: One episode would center around the gang breaking free of a high-tech prison. Villains from previous Sly games would have cameos. The Grizz would join the gang here.
- Sly’s Parents: In the end of the game, the gang will go to the near-past, when Sly’s parents were still alive. Sly would meet his parents and work with them to stop the time-traveling Clockwerk for good.
- Final Fight with Clockwerk: The final boss fight would have the gang fighting Clockwerk across space and time. Each phase would be in a different time period and location. Locations from each game in the series would be used.
