A Villainous Delight: The Memeble Evil of Aunt Figg

A deep dive into the vile and humorous villain.

In the 1992 animated film, Tom and Jerry: The Movie, we were introduced to a truly despicable character: Aunt Pristine Figg. Figg stole the show as the film’s primary antagonist.

A Master of Manipulation

Figg’s villainy is rooted in her relentless pursuit of wealth and power. She manipulates those around her, particularly the young heiress Robyn Starling, to further her own ends. Her cunning and deceptive nature makes her a formidable foe for both Tom and Jerry.

A Timeless Villain

Despite being a relatively minor character in the grand scheme of the Tom and Jerry franchise, Aunt Figg has left a lasting impact on fans.

A Lesson in Villainy

Aunt Figg serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of unchecked ambition and the importance of empathy. Her character reminds us that even the most seemingly ordinary people can harbor dark intentions.

A Memeable Face

This particular image has stuck with me for a long time. The face in the meme comes from the final encounter Robyn, Tom, and Jerry have with Aunt Figg. I think her design is humorous in general, but in this image her face is particularly funny. The intention of the scene was to have her face obscured in darkness, but her face appears incredibly old and ugly. Her eyes are also strangely closed.

  1. I remember the wicked Aunt Figg who assumed the beloved title of aunt to disguise her malicious intentions. Tom and Jerry joined forces and prevailed against evil. Thank you for featuring this classic toon.
