A Dream Roster for Playstation All-Stars 2

One of the most legendary video game crossovers has to be PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Sony’s answer to Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers, this vibrant brawler brought together iconic characters from across PlayStation series, resulting in a thrilling fighting game. While the original game left a lasting impact, fans have been speculating about a sequel that could further expand upon its innovative formula, and with that comes ideas for a worthy roster. While there are so many characters to choose from, here are my must-haves in the roster for a potential PlayStation All-Stars 2.

Astro Bot

Astro-bot, the protagonist of the 2024 game of the year Astro Bot, would be a welcome addition to the PlayStation All-Stars roster. His platforming prowess would make him a fun character to control, while his arsenal of abilities would translate well into a chaotic brawler environment.

Kratos

The God of War himself, Kratos, is a fan-favorite character. The God of War series has continued since PlayStation All-Stars was released, so getting to see elements of the newer games incorporated would be awesome.

Ratchet & Clank

This dynamic duo has been a staple of PlayStation gaming for years, and their inclusion in PlayStation All-Stars 2 would be a no-brainer.

Jak & Daxter

Another iconic duo, Jack and Daxter should definitely make a return.

Sly Cooper

The charismatic thief Sly Cooper should bring his stealth and cunning back to a PlayStation All-Stars 2.

Sackboy

The adorable Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet would be more than welcome back to the PlayStation All-Stars cast.

Nathan Drake

The treasure hunter Nathan Drake from the popular Uncharted series should be a lock.

Aloy

Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn would be a fun addition to the PlayStation All-Stars roster. Her proficiency with the bow would make for a fun move set.

Cloud Strife

It would be incredible for Cloud to join the roster. While he has appeared in Super Smash Bros., he has always been connected to PlayStation with the original Final Fantasy VII being a PlayStation 1 exclusive.

Crash Bandicoot

One of PlayStation’s original mascots. Despite his games not being PlayStation exclusives since the PlayStation 1, It was a bit of a disappointment that he was not in the original given his history.

What do you think of this dream roster? Would you like to see any other characters join the fray? Let me know in the comments below!
