The Ultimate Expansion: A CNK Adventure Mode DLC for CTR Nitro-Fueled

When Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled dropped, it was a dream come true for CTR fans. It beautifully remastered the original CTR gameplay and seamlessly integrated the Crash Nitro Kart (CNK) roster and tracks as well. However, while we got the tracks in Local Arcade and Online Matchmaking, we missed out on one massive element: the CNK Adventure Mode.

Imagine Beenox rolling out a surprise “Nitro Kart Adventure” DLC. It’s exactly what the community has been clamoring for since day one—a campaign structured around the legendary CNK boss cups, complete with hub worlds, relic races, and trophy collections.

Adventure Mode

Here is how the ultimate CNK Adventure Mode expansion would look.

The CNK adventure mode returns with both Team Crash and Team Cortex campaigns available. The teams will need to race their way across four planets and Velo’s Citadel to gain their freedom.

New Cosmetics

Crash Nitro Fueled already has a plethora of cosmetics, but there is always room for more. This would include new skins, karts, and paint patterns.

Custom Cups

A cup in CTR is a series of four races where points are given and totaled for each race in the cup. A cool and convenient new feature would be to include a way for players to create their own custom cups. A player can choose their four favorite tracks to create the cup of their dreams!

Why This Needs to Happen

A dedicated Deluxe CNK Adventure Mode would breathe new life into Nitro-Fueled. It would give single-player fans a reason to dive back into the grind, re-experience the cutscenes of Emperor Velo threatening Earth, and earn exclusive new cosmic kart cosmetics and character skins.
