The Super Smash Bros. series is one of Nintendo’s most popular. It is known as one of the greatest fighting game series and as an amazing crossover of Nintendo and gaming characters. Imagine the possibilities if the series was taken from video games to an animated series. A Super Smash Bros. Anime would be a smash hit.
Here are some of my ideas for a potential series.
A Roster of Legends
The story would center around the original eight fighters from the first game in the series.
- Mario
- Donkey Kong
- Link
- Samus
- Yoshi
- Kirby
- Fox McCloud
- Pikachu
The other fighters in the series, of which there are many, would also appear and have roles in the story.
A Smashing Story
The story would take inspiration from Subspace Emissary from Brawl and World of Light from Ultimate. Tabuu, Master Core, Galeem, and Dharkon would all appear as adversaries to the heroes.
I would love for it to be five seasons. There are so many characters in Smash, a season or two would not be enough to contain them all.
Why This Needs to Happen
A Super Smash Bros. anime series has the potential to be something truly special. It could capture the magic of the games in a whole new way, expanding on the lore, developing the characters, and delivering an unforgettable viewing experience.
