In 2024, Nintendo rolled out the Online 17+ Mature app. It launched with the classic N64 games Perfect Dark and Turok, and with the glaring omission of Conker’s Bad Fur Day. The Nintendo Switch Online 17+ Mature app was practically built for the foul-mouthed squirrel, and February, 2027 would be a great time to bring him back home to a Nintendo console.
Why This Would Be Great
Conker’s Bad Fur Day wasn’t just another platformer, it was Rare’s middle finger to the “kiddie console” narrative, dropping right at the end of the N64’s lifespan. It took the cute, bright collect-a-thon formula of Banjo-Kazooie and turned it into a game of dark humor, cinematic parodies, and toilet gags. Bringing it to NSO would be adding an important piece of the Nintendo 64 lineup to the service.
The Return of Multiplayer
While single-player gives us the movie parodies and the Great Mighty Poo, those who have played the game know the great and mighty fun of multiplayer.
Running through Beach trying to dodge sniper fire, or throwing down in War mode with up to four players online via NSO, brings back that chaotic fun of playing with friends.
If February 2027 actually delivers this drop, a whole new generation will learns what happens when you drink too much at the pub and try to make it home.
