If you are a die-hard Crash Bandicoot fan like me, you likely remember the beautiful, chaotic mess that was Crash Twinsanity. It was a deviation from the traditional Crash Bandicoot game design. Instead of warp-rooms the game world was more connected with larger levels. It also introduced a playable version of Neo Cortex that was more hilarious than menacing
Unfortunately, the original release is known to have cut content. It’s time to fix that. Imagine a remade definitive edition that finally finishes what was started in 2004.
More Than Just a Fresh Coat of Paint
- Seamless World: No more loading screens between hubs.
- The Missing Links: Bring back cut levels, like “Gone a Bit Coco,” and expand Twinsanity Island.
- The Soundtrack: The Spiralmouth a cappella OST is legendary. A remaster needs new tracks for the new levels and remixes.
New Boss Encounters
A small disappointment with the original game was how many iconic villains were relegated to cameos. With new levels, characters like Pinstripe, Ripper Roo, and especially Tiny Tiger could return in a larger role.
Why Now?
With the success of the N. Sane Trilogy and Crash 4: It’s About Time, the appetite for the orange marsupial is higher than ever. Twinsanity represents a unique experimental era for the franchise—it was bold, funny, and weird. Recreating it could be a proof of concept of a new Crash Bandicoot game in the same style.
What do you think? Would you be excited to see a Twinsanity remake?
