A Bash from the Past: A Crash Bash Remaster

It’s 2026, and the gaming world is currently riding a wave of nostalgia that shows no signs of breaking. We’ve seen the N. Sane Trilogy bring the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy back to life, and Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled revive Crash Team Racing. But there is one hole in the modern Crash library, a remaster of Crash Bash.

Crash Bash was released in 2000 for the Playstation. It is a fun party game, 8 playable characters and 28 minigames. It also has an adventure mode that can be played with one or two players with a challenging 201% max completion.

Here is why a Crash Bash Remastered would be the ultimate addition to the latest consoles.

The Vision: Classic Gameplay, Modern Power

A remaster shouldn’t just be a coat of paint; it should be an expansion. While the classic mini games of crate-throwing, pogo-sticking, and polar-bear-riding should remain, more can be added.

  • New Minigames: Add more types of minigames and add new variants of existing ones.
  • An Expanded Roster: Keep the original eight characters, and bring in more. Characters like Crunch, Nina, N. Tropy, and Tawna deserve a spot
  • New Warp Rooms for Adventure Mode: The adventure mode has different warp rooms. With the new minigames, new warp rooms and bosses should be added.

Closing Thoughts

The Wumpa fruit is ripe for the picking with this idea. Bringing Crash Bash would excite long-time Crash Bandicoot fans and would complete the recreation of the Crash Bandicoot Playstation classics.
