Last time, we laid out the groundwork for this crossover trilogy. Now, let’s dive into Part 2, a potential storyline teeming with cosmic heroes, powerful villains, and galaxy-shattering stakes.
Opening Scenes: A Galaxy in Turmoil
While part 1 takes place primarily on Earth, part 2 will occur across the galaxy. It opens with a series of devastating events that set the stage for the conflict. First, the Ravagers, a band of space pirates, are brutally wiped out by Imperial survivors. This shocking massacre underscores the ruthless nature of the resurgent Imperial threat.
Next, Drax of the Guardians of the Galaxy is ambushed and killed by the terrifying Morg the Executioner, a herald of Galactus.
The Story Unfolds
The core of Part 2 focuses on the fractured Guardians of the Galaxy. Rocket, Groot, Adam Warlock, Kraglin, Cosmo, Nebula, Nova, and Mantis, reeling from the loss of Gamora and Drax, find themselves scattered and vulnerable. They must band together, not only to avenge their fallen comrades but also to confront the looming threat of Morg, the Imperial remnants, the Sith Troopers, and the ever-present danger of Galactus.
Adding another piece to the puzzle, an apprentice of Rey enters the trilogy. Haunted by visions, he is drawn into the conflict. He will train with the Jedi spirits and be a crucial ally to the Guardians.
Starlord’s Story
A thrilling cameo sees Peter Quill, still grappling with the emotional fallout of recent events, face off against The Grandmaster. This battle, a clash of wit and cosmic power ultimately ends with Peter emerging victorious.
The Villains
Morg the Executioner is the primary antagonist. The Imperial survivors are led by a cunning officer. They are shown to be a force to be reckoned with, bolstered by Sith Troopers and reprogrammed Separatist Battle Droids, now serving the dark side.
The Climax
Part 2 culminates in a desperate battle against Morg and the Imperial forces. The Guardians, joined by the apprentice Jedi and the Jedi spirits, fight valiantly, but the combined might of their enemies proves overwhelming. The part ends on a cliffhanger, with the Guardians facing seemingly insurmountable odds and the threat of Galactus looming ever closer. The stage is set for an explosive Part 3, where the fate of both galaxies hangs in the balance.
This is just one possible direction for Part 2 of this crossover idea. The possibilities are as vast as the cosmos itself.
What do you think? What moments would you like to see in this epic collision of galaxies?
